I mentioned the other day about the forthcoming Moel Famau audio tours and I’ve now received some additional news.
The Heather and Hillforts website is currently being redesigned and within a month the revamped site will be live and mp3 downloads will be available then.
The trail is available now though! If you call the telephone number 01352 230123 you will have direct access to the trail, which means that you can hear the trail through your mobile phone while walking up to the Jubilee Tower. There is a sign on the path just past the Pen Barras car park with the telephone number and this is where the trail begins. Along the pathway you will see little waymarkers with the audio point number on them, so you know when to re-dial and listen to the next audio point. Using your mobile phone for the trail, you simply pay the cost of a call at your normal rates.
I’ll let you know when the audio trail is live on the internet – as mentioned, this will be a free download for your ipod or mp3 player. It should also be live soon on audioguides2go (which is a really great website if you like audio trails, mapping all of the ones in the area).
